My poem ‘Cuckoo’s Heart’ was highly commended in the MK Lit Fest 2025 writing competition.
I think of all the things I do and am, poetry is the thing I need validation for least, simply because it gives me a high like nothing else.
But it does feel bloody nice!
I’m sorry – you sent it to me and I didn’t see it – for some reason it went into an ‘updates’ folder that I don’t look into much and doesn’t trigger a notification. I really like it – not sure of the interpretation in places, but then why should I expect to be.
I fancy you might be heading for a published collection at some point in the not too distant future.
